To give the arrival of our new selection of Santa Cruz Surfboards, we were lucky enough to be visited by some of the team over from the states.  They were doing a full European Tour to launch the boards, visiting shops and schools, plus doing a few demo's of the boards.

Along for the ride were SC team riders Matt Archbold, Shawn 'Barney' Barron, Matt Schrodetz and Matt's kid Ford who is already making a bit of a name for himself.

Needless to say a few beers were had, alot of banter and a few wise cracks from Barney.  It was a shame the surf crapped out, but apart from that, It was a great day and nice to see that the boys were all just genuine down to earth guys in for a laugh.

'The following day after fueling up with fart potion, we made our way to the Surf Mecca of Newquay in South Cornwall. Newquay is the capital of 's surfing scene with 11 beaches stretching over seven miles of golden sand, so it's not surprising that this one-time fishing village has transformed itself into the surfer's paradise. This was a full day.   We were to visit two schools, two surf shops and then head to Fistral beach for a surf. Once again we were plagued with flat conditions but we surfed anyway. Ford was ripping it up on a longboard while the others watched theWorld Cup. We needed to get a good nights sleep because the next morning we had a 7 hour drive to the Stansted airport for our flight to the surfing metropolis..........Newquay!'
